I know what you’re all thinking. Is she done yet with this fashion shoot out??? Well, the answer is yes. Yes I am. This part wasn’t actually a big part of the shoot. I just captured a few frames before the sunlight was completely gone.
I absolutely adored this uber-gorgeous couple! What a perfect blush lacy dress. And with the gorgeous gold backdrop of the tall grasses, well, you can’t beat that!
Many thanks to the fabulous Camilla Binks for a wonderful day of learning and photographing. She is such an inspiration to me. I actually just did a google search to find a link to her site, and found some of her old stuff from a few years ago, and I started to peruse it, wondering if she had always been as good as she now, and the answer yes. Yes. She has such incredible talent. Goodness. Maybe one day I will be half the photographer she is HMUA: Flavia at VERSA Artistry
Absolutely loved these breath-taking bridals done at a local lavender farm. Wendy and Scott are some pretty amazing and wonderful people and I feel so lucky to have photographed them!
On the spookiest day of the year, what better way than to celebrate with a Gothic beauty, complete a black dress, a crown, and her own crow (check out the hair piece) Happy Halloween everyone.
Andd part two of this fabulous session with these two incredible ballroom dancers. It’s a little less dance and a little more romance. Check out part one here.

Let me tell you a story. When I was in college, I took a dance class. And I competed in a dance competition in two different types of dance with two different partners (East Coast Swing and ChaCha, if you were wondering). Every time we advanced to the next round, we told ourselves to go out there and just have fun. And we did. It was incredible fun. And we ended up placing 7th in East Coast and 4th in ChaCha.
Dancing; It’s addicting. Once you learn how to do it, you never want to stop. But what I did in that one competition pales in comparison to these two. In addition their incredibly busy schedules, they both are on a world-renowned dance team. And I’ve seen them dance and they are pretty amazing. Plus they are both some of the nicest and most genuine people you will meet.
Stay tuned for part two of this stunning session (P.S. I love part 2 even more than this one!!)

Since beginning my photography journey, I’ve been so blessed to meet some amazing people. I’ve learned a ton about photography and friendships. So thank you, thank you to all the people who have helped me along the way. I absolutely loved working with the fabulous April of Bladh Photography on this super fun bridal inspiration shoot. Huge thanks to the gorgeous hair and makeup by Mackenzie of Enz Beauty (who just so happens to be in the first shot)
Let me just tell you a tiny bit about this shoot. It was overcast & then rainy, totally last minute, and we had to deal with some crazy wardrobe stuff (that skirt is actually a little girls dress!) And the lavender was literally a day away from being harvested so we couldn’t redo it! (Although we did get some FABulous strong wind!) But I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. Working with April was truly a joy. Check out her post here.
You may remember part 1 & part 2 of this amazing photo fashion shoot out. There are two more parts and I’m *almost* done with both and will post them soon. I have been so overwhelmed with actual photography that I have totally neglected my blog. But hopefully I can catch up during this down time.

Vintage. Pink. Lace. And this stunning girl. All of it makes me swoon!
I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve looked through these photos. My summer got so busy, and now that I finally have the chance to look through them again, I’m overwhelmed. This photo shoot was a life changing event for me. The one that turned me from an okay photographer to the kind of photographer that can get great straight-out-of camera shots. These were taken in the middle of the day. During the “worst” light. And while I do still prefer to shoot during the golden hour, now I know what to do in case I don’t have that option.
When I got married, I wanted the best photographer to shoot it. And when I wanted my photography to get better, I wanted the best photographer to teach me. Both were the same, Camilla Binks. (Okay, maybe I’m a little biased, but I love her work!) This woman has been a mentor and a friend to me. She is an incredible artist, photographer, and person. And I’m so super grateful to her for teaching me some of her secrets. It really turned my photography around. If you want more information on mentoring with the fabulous Camilla Binks, please check out her info page about it here.
I was SO thrilled when the incredible Michelle of Shelly Geller Photography asked me to come second shoot with her. (P.S. Michelle is super fabulous and a wayy talented photographer! Seriously check her stuff out here!). And boy was I lucky to photography this amazing couple!
Hailey is definitely one of the happiest girls I’ve ever met! With her infectious smile and contagious laughter, she made this wedding even more fun and beautiful and just so genuine. She and Seth were the real deal. The bona fida of true love couples. The ceremony had me choking up and the reception toasts made me want to cry and laugh at the same time. You could feel the genuine love between these two. Just looking through their pictures again seriously chokes me up. You just can’t fake that kind of love.
And then of course, they knew how to PARTAY at the end!!
